Even Kossacks are going to be shocked by these numbers.
According to Repub mythology, they are better at job creation because by deregulating the "job creators" of private industry and cutting their taxes, Republicans unleash investment in new businesses and industries that increase employment. Democrats, OTOH, are terrible at job creation because they increase regulations and taxes on the "job creators."
American voters have bought into this mythology and believe that Republicans would be better for the economy and job creation, as numerous polls have documented. The MSM, while always reporting that the economy and jobs are the most important issues for voters, never looks at the numbers behind the Repub mythology and uncritically reports all the Repub job creation plans based on deregulation and tax cuts.
But what do the numbers actually show about job creation in private industry? Do Democrats have a better record of job creation in private industry? (Hint: it's not even close.) Let's do the math.
Fortunately, we have had a great job creation experiment between Democrats and Republicans for the past 25 years: two Republican presidents interspersed with two Democratic presidents over nearly the same amounts of time. Bush I and Bush II for a total of 12 years, compared to Clinton and Obama for a total of 13+ years.
We are also fortunate to have an unimpeachable source of information on private industry job creation that is easy to use: The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis "FRED" website that publishes vast amounts of economic data. And here it is

(use the sliders under the graph to select time periods and move your cursor over the line graph to access the jobs data)
Let's cut to the chase. Using the January at the beginning and end of each president's term as the points of reference (Obama's end point is September 2014) the numbers are stunning:
Bush I & Bush II -- 1.048 million private sector jobs created over 12 years.
Clinton & Obama -- 27.082 million private sector jobs created over 13.75 years.
Bottom Line: Democrats created nearly 2 million private industry jobs per year on average while Republicans averaged less than 90 thousand. Private industry jobs are the gold standard for job creation and Democrats are overwhelmingly better at the most important issue for voters.
Americans voters have been terribly deceived. This deception must end today! We need to shout these numbers from the rooftops of every community in this country. We won't get fooled again!
