Pat Roberts, the Virginian currently serving as Senator from Kansas has sent a lot of mail this cycle. Today, however, in a mail piece that had to be done out of state, the Kansas Republican Party decided to show what might happen if Greg Orman were to get elected.. and what he was selling.
Orman stands in front of a broken down vehicle. The vehicle, a junker likely taken from who knows where for the photoshop work stands out as it has beautiful valid Riley County 2014 License plates.
One Problem: The state of Kansas doesn't put plates on the front of the car, in Kansas there are no front plates. Vehicles only have rear vehicle plates.
Sure, these kind of slip ups are easy, but for Pat Roberts, you have to try and stay on top of laws that have been existence in your state for some time.
As a friendly reminder to Pat Roberts, in case his staff forgot:

Statute 8-133: Display of license plate. The license plate assigned to the vehicle shall be attached to the rear thereof and shall be so displayed during the current registration year or years. A Kansas registered vehicle shall have no registration plate for any year on the front of the vehicle, except that: (a) The license plate issued for a truck tractor shall be attached to the front of the truck tractor; (b) a model year license plate may be attached to the front of an antique vehicle, in accordance with K.S.A. 8-172, and amendments thereto; or (c) a personalized license plate as authorized under
I'm sure this was an easy mistake for Pat to make. After all, Virginia does require front plates.
