According to Wickipedia we have had murders in schools since 1764.The first one talked about,
was called the Pontiac school massacre.Nine or 10 children were murdered by Indians; reports vary.
There has been school shootings almost every year since 1800. In the earlier era, people
didn't hear about the murders if they lived far away.
I went to school in the 1950's and 1960's. There were school shootings all the time
in those years.
CNN has a list you can go to to read about the 25 deadliest shootings in America
in recent years.
By now you know about the school cafeteria shooting in a town north of Seattle where
two people died, and a few more may die as well.
People have purchased guns legally and killed. The seller should not be held responsible
For actions taken by a person when he or she leaves the store. If, however, the young
man who killed students in the latest shooting in Washington State got the gun from
a relativethat person should be put in prison for 20 years with no chance
of parole.
No law will stop mentally ill and angry people from killing.
Efforts should be made to make gun sellers think twice about who they sell it to.
In private dealings, the seller of the gun should list who he sold the gun to. Guns
will always be with us, Let's add 20 years to any crime if a gun was used.
Let's make the seller of the gun at least tell who he sold it to. If the young shooter
in the school last week, got the gun from a relative, the relative should be placed in
jail. A teenager can't drive until he or she is 16. Let's make the person who might
allow a young person to have a gun, always know where the gun is.
After doing some research on gun violence, I'm convinced we will never
stop killing in schools. Metal detectors placed in schools would help the folks
in the school know if someone is caring a gun.
Gun violence is pure evil. Evil will always be with us. Hug the ones you love every
day. You many never see them again. I guess we need darkness to know what sunshine
is. Without Evil, you would not understand how precious life is.
How sad.
