Hi beer fans, happy Friday again! Come on in and share a cold one with us.

I've mentioned my general nonappreciation of pumpkin beers so I should give credit where due: I've recently had good pumpkin ales from two Bay Area brewers, Almanac and Drake's. Both were aged, sour pumpkin beers, and both made without the overpowering spices that make it hard to drink more than one. As with most sour or aged beers, it's the price that makes it hard to drink more than one.
Winter beers are hitting the market now; I've seen Deschutes Jubelale both in bottle and on tap, it's one of the great strong brown winter beers. A FOAF recently told me a long and unverifiable story about traveling through Bend some years ago, making a good impression on the brewer, and being one of the first to taste the original Jubelale; I'll recommend it in honor of Larry.
I've got Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA. What are you drinking? Who's brewing?
