To protest police abuse renders great honor to the officers. Protesting in front of people with weapons and the authority to use them shows that you believe they are decent and lawful people. It is trusting your life and limb that they are actually there to serve and protect.
To attempt to shame them for senseless and unnecessary killings by some police officers presupposes they are capable of shame, recognizing bad behavior exists and can be changed.
Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos were gunned down while doing their jobs. A madman with no respect for life joyfully and cowardly executed them. Their loss of life is no more nor no less tragic and unjust than deaths of Tamir Rice or Eric Garner.
If Michelle Bachman is still looking for Un-American officials, she should examine Jeff Roorda, Patrick Lynch, and Jeff Follmer.
