Eric Garner was choked to death on July 17, 2014, on a Staten Island, NY sidewalk by Officer Daniel Pantaleo. Unarmed, his death was ruled a homicide on August 1, 2014. On December 3, 2014, the grand jury declined to indict Daniel Pantaleo.
