The U.S. House of Representatives has passed Resolution 758 and has set us on a path that could very well lead to nuclear war with Russia. And this bill is based entirely on lies. War is PEACE.
When reading this bill H. Res. 758 it's very hard not to get enraged at the blatant dishonesty, not to mention the shear number of Democrats supporting this trash.
Whereas the Russian Federation has subjected Ukraine to a campaign of political, economic, and military aggression for the purpose of establishing its domination over the country and progressively erasing its independence;
Did Russia spend $5 billion on NGO's to undermine a democratically elected government?
It has been said that the first casualty of war is the truth. And let there be no mistake, we are at war. We are at war with everyone and everything, and most importantly, we are at war with ourselves. We have set the bar for truth telling so unbelievably high it can no longer be reached. Truth has become the extraordinary, requiring such profound evidence, that any hint of question, irregardless of rationality, renders it worthy of condemnation as conspiracy theory crack pots, topped with tin foil hats. The official narrative will not be denied.
Joseph Goebbels would be proud of the United States and it's media propaganda machines, spinning and twisting the “truth” to such an extent, that the phrase War is Peace, is actually believable by the average American. The American populace has become so imbued with WAR we can not know Peace. We don't know what Peace is. We haven't known Peace. We think we have, only because we have remained blinded to the War our country has waged continuously across this planet for decades.
According to International Law, something to which the US seems completely oblivious too, sending military hardware, and or personnel, across and into a sovereign country with the purpose of killing, is an act of war. So how many countries is the US at war with? If our country ignores international law and sends drones or covert personnel into a sovereign country and kills people, are we at war? To me, the answer is a resounding YES.
What is the truth?
Well, in the words of Jack Nicholson, as Colonel Nathan Jessup in the movie A Few good Men, “you can't handle the truth!”. That seems to be the refrain of our establishment, that nexus of media and government. We can't handle the truth that our own government inspired, laid the ground work for and funded, a neo-nazi coup in Ukraine that led to toppling a democratically elected government. No matter how much evidence there is, which there is plenty if you just look for it, we can't handle the truth, that our government is backing Neo-Nazi's in Ukraine.
I'm sure this “claim” will be subjected to the bar of truth on this site that “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence", a bar set so high as to dismiss any possibility of reasonable debate on the topic. Being this is my first diary, I have a high UID and I haven't posted before, I sure to be banned post haste. No worries, I don't need your validation.
But, for the sake of argument, let me provide some of the "extraordinary evidence".
As Greg Rose writes for People's World (from 2-28-2014)
The ultra-right Svoboda Party has scored six major cabinet ministries in the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk approved by the Ukrainian parliament on Thursday. Svoboda is an ultra-right, anti-Semitic, Russophobic party with its base of support in the Western Ukraine.
The most important post was claimed by a co-founder of Svoboda, Andriy Parubiy. He was named Secretary of the Security and National Defense Committee, which supervises the defense ministry and the armed forces.
The Parubiy appointment to such an important post should, alone, be cause for international outrage. He led the masked Svoboda and Right Sector thugs who battled riot police in the Independence Maidan in Kiev.
The Right Sector is an openly fascist, anti-Semitic and anti-Russian organization. Most of the snipers and bomb throwers in the crowds were connected with this group.
Right Sector members have been participating in military training camps for the last two years or more in preparation for street activity of the kind witnessed in the Ukraine over the last few months.

A leaked phone conversation between Victoria Nuland, assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, and Geoffrey Pyatt, the US ambassador to Ukraine, has exposed the anti-democratic and colonialist character of the Obama administration’s intervention in the former Soviet republic.
The discussion between the two officials includes a detailed review of which right-wing opposition figures Washington is working to install in office, and how it is using the United Nations to rubber-stamp the operation. While Germany and other European powers have worked closely with the Obama administration in promoting the violent protests against President Viktor Yanukovych, the leaked phone call reveals tensions between the imperialist powers. At one point Nuland tells Pyatt, “Fuck the EU.”

Ukraine’s new Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko, a former U.S. State Department officer who was granted Ukrainian citizenship only this week, headed a U.S. government-funded investment project for Ukraine that involved substantial insider dealings, including $1 million-plus fees to a management company that she also controlled.
Jaresko served as president and chief executive officer of Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF), which was created by the U.S. Agency for International Development (U.S. AID) with $150 million to spur business activity in Ukraine. She also was cofounder and managing partner of Horizon Capital which managed WNISEF’s investments at a rate of 2 to 2.5 percent of committed capital, fees exceeding $1 million in recent years, according to WNISEF’s 2012 annual report.

The Extreme Right in Ukraine by Mridula Ghosh
Using the theory of the inevitability of two revolutions, social and national, Svoboda has declared itself as a social nationalist party and reached out to the masses via grassroots communication rather than via elite lobby politics. Posing as a force close to the people and as a »role model« for other right-wing extremist groups on issues of patriotism, national identity, language and culture, the main targets of its attacks have been the opponents of the ruling party. The latter easily showcase Svoboda as their undemocratic opponent, as an »enemy« of democracy, while presenting themselves as the only democratic alternative. To this end, media organs owned by individuals close to the ruling party have given Svoboda media access and hence boosted its public image.
This has paved the way for Svoboda to gain power in regional legislative bodies.Instead of distancing itself from the anti-Semitic, xeno-phobic and racist rhetoric of Svoboda, the mainstream right and opposition political parties have entered into situation-dependent and other tacit alliances with it, to win the nationalist vote. The lack of consensus among major political actors on how to resist right-wing extremist ideas has legitimised Svoboda in the public perception as a partner in democracy. By criticising liberalism, Svoboda resembles the Liberal Democratic party of Russia (LDPR) led by Vladimir Zhirinovsky, which is neither liberal nor democratic, but articulates the slogansof aggressive nationalism.
The danger is that, unlike the LDPR, the intolerant messages of Svoboda may cause discontent in Russian-speaking Ukraine, and the pro-Russian Cossack extreme right in those regions may actively threaten the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

France, Germany and Poland, with the United States operating in the background, had worked hand-in-glove with opposition leaders Vitali Klitschko of the Udar party, Arseniy Yatsenyuk of oligarch Yulia Tymoshenko’s Fatherland Party, and Oleh Tyahnybok of the fascistic Svoboda. As the opposition had relied on fascist thugs to provide the muscle for its street protests, a negotiated settlement with them was impossible.
After signing the deal Friday night, Yanukovych fled the capital Kiev, clearly fearing that if he stayed he would meet the same fate as Muammar Gaddafi, who was murdered at the end of the NATO war in Libya.
Opposition protesters, numbering around 25,000, are led by far right groups including the overtly fascist Right Sector, led by Dmitry Yarosh. They had formed militias who had taken control of the capital, surrounding the president’s administration and parliament.

The truth?
The US government sponsored the NeoNazi fascist coup in Ukraine, to the tune of $5 billion dollar investments through US funded NGO's.
Russia didn't, and hasn't, invaded Ukraine.
No proof has been provided to support the "extraordinary claim" by the US, and their puppet governments in the EU, that either the rebels, or Russia, shot down flight MH17 over Ukraine. But Russia has provide their proof, to which, nobody is willing to believe.

Contrary to the Obama administration’s public claims blaming eastern Ukrainian rebels and Russia for the shoot-down of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, some U.S. intelligence analysts have concluded that the rebels and Russia were likely not at fault and that it appears Ukrainian government forces were to blame, according to a source briefed on these findings.
This judgment – at odds with what President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry have expressed publicly – is based largely on the absence of U.S. government evidence that Russia supplied the rebels with a Buk anti-aircraft missile system that would be needed to hit a civilian jetliner flying at 33,000 feet, said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Where is the evidence to support the US's extraordinary claim that blame Ukrainian rebels and Russia for the shoot-down of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17? Who's wearing the tin foil hats now?
Crimea was not invaded by Russia nor annexed by Russia at gun point.

An election in an embattled country is valid and even inspiring if it turns out the way Official Washington wants, as in Ukraine last month; otherwise it’s a sham and illegitimate, as in Syria this month.
Similarly, people have an inalienable right of self-determination if it’s Kosovo or South Sudan, but not if it’s Crimea or the Donbass region of Ukraine. Those referenda for separation from Ukraine must have been “rigged” though there is no evidence they were. Everything is seen through the eye of the beholder and the beholders in Official Washington are deeply biased.
When it comes to military interventions, U.S. officials such as Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power assert a “responsibility to protect” transcending national sovereignty if civilians are threatened in Libya or in Syria, but not when the civilians are being slaughtered in Gaza, Odessa, Mariupol or Donetsk. When those killings are being done by U.S. allies, the allies are praised for their “restraint.”
The truth? You can't handle the truth. If the MSM or the US government didn't print it or speak it, it must not be the truth. Welcome to 1984, War is PEACE.
