In our travels we like to discover unique restaurants: restaurants with good food and a décor that reflects local history and culture. One example of this kind of restaurant is The Forge in Kalispell, Montana. It is located in a historic building that used to be a blacksmith shop, hence the name The Forge. While the inside décor would probably drive the designers for the reality show Restaurant Impossible nuts, it is an eclectic mix reflecting the building’s history. The old forge is there and there are lots of horseshoes handing from the ceiling (horseshoes, after all, are one of the products of a blacksmith shop). There are old photos and more blacksmith stuff hanging on the walls. And, the food is good.
Welcome to Street Prophets Saturday. Do you have a favorite restaurant, unique or not? Food porn is welcome.
