Senator Mark Begich's (D. AK) wife, Deborah Bonito, is playing an active role in her husband's re-election campaign and is starting a new group called Women For Mark Begich:
My husband Mark was raised by a mom who became a widow and raised six kids. He’s got two sisters. He married me.
You can bet Mark knows what it means to be surrounded by strong Alaska women.
I think that’s part of the reason why Mark respects women so much. He believes that women should make their own health care decisions. He believes that the hardworking women of Alaska deserve equal pay for an equal day’s work, and he supports economic policy that is good for the small businesses so many women lead.
Mark does all he can, every day, to fight for us. And in return, we need to do our part to fight for him.
This weekend, we’re launching Women for Mark Begich -- a dedicated group of women committed to helping Mark win reelection. And I thought you might be interested in joining.

Two of Mark’s opponents -- Dan Sullivan and Mead Treadwell -- have already said they want to put severe limitations on women’s access to health care and reproductive freedom.
That’s a clear contrast if I’ve ever seen one: Mark wants women to make our own decisions. Mark’s opponents want some politician to make our decisions for us.
Mark deserves the support of Alaska women and their families. This race is already shaping up to be a showdown -- and Mark needs all of us on his side.
We’re just getting Women for Mark Begich up and running. Click here to show your support and join the group today.

I will always stand by Mark. It comes with the territory of being married to him. But it’s the support of dedicated grassroots supporters like you that will make all the difference in this campaign.
Thanks for standing with me, and with women, by supporting Mark.
Deborah Bonito
