From breakingnews.com:
Russia signals concern at Estonia's treatment of its large ethnic Russian minority, comparing language policy in Estonia with what it said was a call in Ukraine to prevent the use of Russian - @Reuters
NATO may be dragged into conflict with Russia no matter what, as some early signals suggest Estonia may be next for Russia's "We protect the Russian language with boots" policy.
Stay tuned, it could get bumpy.
Edit to add:
Because some folks may be confused in the commentary in the original post, I figured I should break things down a bit more.
1) Above the fold, I do point out the quote was from breakingnews.com. The lack of a click-link shouldn't prevent people from going to the site. But, for those who need it (thanks to "Just Another Vet"): http://www.reuters.com/...
2) Considering Russia's bold movements in Ukraine as of late, monitoring Russia's actions toward other nations on it's borders when it comes to Ethnic Russians should be closely monitored.
3) For those that weren't aware, Estonia (and the rest of the Baltics) are NATO Allies, and as such if Russia IS indeed dumb enough to extend it's ethnic Russian protection policies there, we are looking at immediately being involved militarily. Do I think Russia IS actually that dumb, or has that as their plan? On one hand, no, it wouldn't make sense. On the other, not a whole lot of Putin's actions these past few weeks actually do really make sense. The excuse of protecting ethnic Russians under wholly false pretenses was used to invade and annex a part of a sovereign nation. I'm not about to put it past Putin to not do it again.
Above all, understand that someone can hope for the best, want the best, but still be very, very wary of what is unfolding becoming worst-case-scenario. A lot of military actions in the past have been preceded with a chorus of "Ah, they'll NEVER do THAT!" only to have that proved wrong, with horrible consequences.
