Christie's 'Defense' Attorney sure likes to pat himself on the back -- despite the fact he was hired to "get to the bottom of it" -- just WHY those bridge lanes were closed. And failed.
Lawyer who led probe says 'not a shred of evidence' Christie knew of bridge scandal
FoxNews.com -- March 27, 2014
The lawyer who led an investigation that determined Gov. Chris Christie was not involved in the bridge closure scandal told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly Thursday there is not a “shred of evidence” Christie knew anything.
Randy Mastro, a former federal prosecutor, released a report on his team’s investigation Thursday. The report relied on interviews with officials in the Christie administration, including the governor, and 250,000 documents.
Mastro said on “The Kelly File” his investigation was exhaustive and thorough, and in the end completely exonerated Christie.

Despite the fact, this self-serving report -- did not "get to the bottom of it" -- Christie wasted no time trumpeting its foregone conclusion.

The governor described the report as "exhaustive" and said he instructed his attorneys to "find the truth no matter where it led." He committed to "fully embracing" the reforms pertaining to his office contained in the report.
"The fact of the matter is I had nothing to do with this," he said [Governor Christie]. "This report has supported exactly what I said."

Surprise, surprise! The
'Know Nothing' Governor, really DOES know nuthin.
It's 'Official'. (At least according to his very well-paid team of attorneys, anyways.)
Still some astute journalists and pundits (and public servants) are challenging the core assumption of this custom term-paper-for-dollars Report, itself.
They are questioning the main claim of this self-promotional Report -- that it is indeed "Exhaustive and Thorough" ... in spite the fact, that we have still yet to hear 'the rest of the story' from those conveniently picked, to shoulder the Bridgegate blame.

"It reads more like a novel than a work of fact," said Assemblyman John Wisniewski, chairman of the legislative panel investigating the bridge lane closings. "It's very difficult to tell the truth when you don't hear from all sides.''
The internal review included interviews with Christie and his staff and examination of e-mails and cellphone records. But the investigators did not interview the three people at the center of the scandal: Christie aide Bridget Kelly, who wrote an e-mail saying, "Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee''; Bill Stepien, campaign manager for Christie's successful re-election last year; and David Wildstein, a Christie high school classmate hired by a Christie appointee at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The Port Authority controls the George Washington Bridge.
All three have cited their Fifth Amendment rights in refusing to answer questions from investigators.

Calling this one-sided report
"Exhaustive and Thorough"
-- is like just like saying "The Republicans at CPAC, speak for the rest of America."
Claiming such nonsense on TV, simply does not make it so. Not by a long shot. No matter how much you get paid, for saying it.
