The universal American condemnation of Russia over Crimea strikes me as a bit myopically one sided.
The Russian Black Sea naval base in Sevastopol is a lot more important to them than Guantanamo is to us. Maybe we should leave Cuba before we start condemning Russia?
Oh, wait. We don't have a million ethnic Americans in Cuba.
Yes, Putin is a corrupt tyrant. But if a liberal, democratic government was in power in Moscow, they would not walk away from Crimea, either. The Russian people would not stand for it, for one thing.
And don't ask me what solution I propose, because I don't see one.
