So most people probably remember the story of the teen in Texas who killed numerous people while driving while drunk. But because he suffers from Affluenza, he didn't realize that actions have consequences. And thus the Texas court decided he doesn't need jail but rehab. Now that it is time for the rehab to start, he will learn responsibility by by not paying full price for the rehab. Yes, because otherwise he might be confused that money can solve everything. Originally his parents wanted him to a facility in Newport Beach, Cal at $450K but that was rejected by the court. So now he will go to a $750 per day facility and pay $1170 a month. Or less than 2 days. Ain't that America...

1:23 PM PT: From the comments, apparently it is a state run facility, and the amount charged is the highest amount on the sliding scale based on income. So while it does prevent him from the spa type rehab, it is still inconceivable that after making an exception to keep him from jail, they can't make an exception to make him pay full cost, or at least the difference between the $750 of the facility vs the $50.79 it costs the state of Texas per inmate per day.
