Sean Hannity is an uneducated goof-ball who has proven over the years that he totally FAILS real US History.
Every time I read about Hannity bitching about 'taxes on the rich' and falsely & ignorantly saying dumbsh't things like 'our founding fathers would never have taxed corporations -- the job creators' I think about the real reason the "founders" tossed Corporate-owned Tea into the Boston Harbor (which was all about protesting Corporate (Company) Tax Cuts & not at all due to 'higher' taxes) - and - the time President George Washington went with gun in hand & US Army behind him to put down the rebelling farmers who did not want to pay taxes which is known as the Whiskey Rebellion.
... and last night ... Jon Stewart schooled Hannity using real US History as opposed to that made-up BS, TeaParty Fake History that Hannity cloaks himself around.
Stewart began by exposing Hannity's blatant hypocrisy:
STEWART: What about stop & frisk. The random search and seizure based purely on appearance? Is that proportional or authority over-reach? [shows clip of Hannity]
"HANNITY: Officials have cited the police tactic of stop & frisk as being instrumental in reducing major crime in the Big Apple -- as soon as they started it, murder rates went down, crime went down.
GUEST: But just to someone is suspicious because they are black or brown
HANNITY: I think you are going to tie the hands of law enforcement.
STEWART: Daahhh!!! You can't tie the hands of law enforcement. Sean Hannity will not allow this nation's law enforcement officers to have their hands tied -- when they need them to frisk the brown people. Brown cows, on the other hand, have certain constitutional rights. But anyway -- that's when shit got weird ...
Next Jon Stewart showed a clip that Hannity used to show Jon Stewart was on stage with Cat Stevens who called for a fatwa against author Salmon Rushdie and accusing Stewart of being "obsessed" with Hannity's show of hate & lies.
STEWART: ... for all the disingenuous, hypocritical, non-factual, corrosive, hacky, awful, word-turds that you [Hannity] speak, you did get one thing right [starts clip of Hannity saying Stewart is "kind of obsessed with this program] I am obsessed -- I am obsessed with your program -- you can say true things. I am obsessed with your program in the same way I am obsessed anti-biotic resistant superbugs or the Pacific garbage patch or the KFC double-down because I just can't believe that in this day and age, with all that we know, that shit is out there. That humanity -- humanity -- that our society is weighed down by these burdens of a seemingly of a more midieval time -- like your [Hannity] show.
To see it night after night serving up the same bullshit. My God you're the Arby's of news. How can I not be obsessed with the Arby's of news? Arby's -- the Hannity of roast beef sandwiches. And what is so fascinating is the paradox at the heart of your show. That you're purely blind partisan impulses are couched in such lofty principles. Everything framed in terms of the power of your patriotism. You got the flag pins, you got the backdrops, you've got the graphics. The patriotic ball-cozies you sell on your website. And yet, you the -- what?! They're [Hannity's ball-cozies] very inexpensive & their made in Malaysia --
Stewart continued
STEWART: And yet, you the uber-American, this man is your cause [shows clip of Cliven Bundy]
BUNDY: "I don't recognize the United States Government as even existing"]
STEWART: He doesn't recognize America's existence!! He's a USA-theist because the Federal Govt does exist. In fact it was created by those guys in that document that you love so, so very much. [shows clip of Hannity]
Here's where Stewart schools Hannity by using real US History as opposed to that made-up BS, TeaParty Fake History that Hannity cloaks himself around.
HANNITY: "the beauty, I think of our framers & our founders is they put in place this document where they had the ability to right wrongs and correct injustices ... the American people really want a return to first principles and Constitutional government .. I love Washington because he gave up power it's amazing to me when he could have held on to it."
STEWART: Washington, now there's a founding father who could found the shit out of everything. How do you think he would handle an armed group of Federal Fovernment Rejection-ists who would not pay their taxes? Well, we don't need to speculate because it was called the Whiskey Rebellion. And Washington with his Federal Army crushed it in 1794. I guess you would say disproportionately. And the reason that he [Washington] was legally allowed to do that was because a man named Daniel Shay [Shay's Rebellion] pulled the same shit in 1786 & 1787 -- that's him rolling down a hill. So the founding fathers called the Constitutional Convention to form a much stronger Federal Government that could collect taxes by force if necessary -- which I guess makes you, Sean Hannity, not an American patriot but an anti-Federalist -- or to be kind -- let's just say you love the Founding fathers but only their early work before they sold-out and became 'The Man' or white property owning men.

here is a link to the Daily Show
the real Boston Tea Party
Background: The real reason "founders" tossed Corporate-owned tea into Boston Harbor was founders were pissed that the King gave the tea corporation a corporate tax cut.
1767 - Townshend Acts - Parliament passed the Townshend Acts, which initiated taxes on glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. Colonists boycotted British goods & the Townshend Act was repealed except for the tea tax. The tax on tea remained.
six years later ... after the colonists were very used to their Townshend Tea Tax ...
1773: Tea Act: No new tax was imposed on the colonists under the Tea Act. The Tea Act allowed British Government to loan of £1.4 million to the East India Company [Tea Corporation] and they'd be allowed to ship tea directly and on its own account to America -- thus cutting taxes for the Corporation.
The Company would pay the 3d tax on the tea's entry into the colonies but was exempt from reimbursing the English customs for the 1/- English tax which, before the Tea Act, they had to pay.
Charge: The Tea Act cut corporate (company) taxes for East India Company which enabled them to gain a monopoly on selling tea in America because now, with the Tea Act, the East India Company could sell their tea cheaper than the colonial merchants were selling their smuggled tea -- and that is what pissed off colonial merchants.
Consequence: The Tea Act did not raise taxes on colonists but rather cut corporate taxes and that is what led directly to the Boston Tea Party. Colonists (founders) did not like the British King giving the Company a tax cut so as to enabled the Company to gain a tea monopoly in the colonies.
Shays' Rebellion. Date: 1786
Background: America had no Constitution and lived, instead, under the Articles of Confederation. Impoverished farmers were losing their farms due to mortgage foreclosures and debts.
Event: Captain Daniel Shays (veteran of Revolution) led the farmers in a revolt: demanded cheap paper money, lighter taxes, and no more property takeovers. Som eof them tried to use violence to enforce these demands.
Charged: State authorities raised a small army and crushed Shay's rebelllion and Daniel Shays was sentenced to death but he was later pardoned.
Consequence: Shay's rebellion raised a notion of anarchy and made it clear to the "founders" that a stronger central government was necessary. The Articles of Confederation needed to be strengthened and founders called for a Constitutional Convention.
The Whiskey Rebellion, 1794
Background: Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton instated Federal Excise Taxes on whiskey.
Event: Rebellious farmers armed themselves in protest and chanted "Liberty and No Excise!" Farmers became violent and tarred and feathered revenue officers who came to collect taxes.
Founding Father, President Washington armed himself & took 13,000 armed soldiers to put down the Whiskey Rebels. Three rebels were killed & the rest dispersed.
Charge: President Washington pardoned the armed rebels.
Was it proportional? - The government commanded a new-found respect, but Federal Government Rejectionists complained that Washington's tactic was like "using a sledgehammer to crush a gnat."
Consequence: The Whiskey Rebellion was one of the factors leading to the establishment of political parties. Democratic-Republicans believed taxes on Whiskey encroached on states' rights, and a party needed to be formed to protect the states, or the national government would become too strong.
The huge difference between Shay's Rebellion and Whiskey Rebellion:
Shay's Rebellion happened under the Articles of Confederation and the weak government and was unable to support, with force, the state of Massachusetts in order to aid in the defeat of the rebellion.
The Whiskey Rebellion, under the US Constitution that legally allows the government to enforce federal laws with deadly force if necessary.
Sean Hannity has always been an uneducated ignoramus who does not know jackshit about real US History and -- and -- through his actions and words over the years, Sean Hannity has proven himself to be an Anti-American, Fake-Patriot, whose only job is to sell hate to the low-IQ crowd.
