Politico:
Jeb Bush and Bobby Jindal appear in a commercial that will air Sunday to promote NewRepublican.org, a project focused on outlining a positive GOP agenda for the future.
The former Florida governor and the current Louisiana governor, both potential 2016 presidential candidates, support a super PAC that is the brainchild of Republican strategist Alex Castellanos.
Or, to put it another way, the GOP's strategy to build a "New Republican" party is run by the guy who
produced Jesse Helms's racist ads in 1990 (Castellanos) and has as its spokesmen a hardline social conservative who has been in appointed or elected political office his entire adult life (Jindal) and a guy whose main claim to fame is that he is both the son and brother of former presidents (Bush). If that's what qualifies as "new," I shudder to think what "old" must be.
