Awww, poor McDonald's. The fast food chain is facing a
growing fight by workers organizing for higher wages and better treatment on the job, its
sales are slumping, and its
reputation is suffering with consumers. With all that bad news, and workers planning to protest at the company's annual shareholder meeting,
how is McDonald's responding?
Amid the mounting pressure, the company has decided to bar reporters from attending the meeting this year.
McDonald's claims that that it's excluding press from the event because reporters didn't show enough interest in attending.
Yeah, right. If reporters weren't interested in attending, why bother outright banning them?
Way to make it clear to the world that you're worried and trying to hide things, McDonald's.
