I wanted to comment on yesterday's kos poll:
"If Hillary Clinton were the Democratic nominee for president in 2016, would you support her?"
13,638 people voted - 51% (6979) voted "yes, happily", 39% (5441) voted "yes", 8% (1152) voted "no" and 0% (41) voted "I'm a Republican, so, um, no". In other words, 91.06% voted "yes" and 8.45% voted "no".
My comment: The question shows proper usage of a verb in the subjunctive mood - proper grammar - in using "were" instead of the incorrect "was". "The subjunctive is used (in English) to express situations that are hypothetical or not yet realized and is typically used for what is imagined, hoped for, demanded, or expected."
Kudos to kos for his use of proper English.
P.S. And thanks for the poll. Its results are enlightening.
