That's right. My son is at this minute at a Portland area high school. Then I click on DKOS during a quick break and see:
'Active shooter' reported at Portland, Oregon high school.
I have to stop immediately and find out: Is it my son's high school? Is my son in danger? His mother went through the same thing.
Fortunately for our family at least it was not our son's school. But there are at least a thousand families who can't say that.
Hey, "Judge" Scalia -- you puny-minded jackass (but I insult actual jackasses here, who are harmless and useful)-- do you have even the remotest idea what that is like, for a thousand families to have to be placed, in a single instant, in fear of having a child murdered?
No damned clue. Instead it's massacre after massacre, and that's on top of the steady rate of gun deaths at 30,000 per year or so.
So, if this is the society that that is required by the Second Amendment, then your so-called "right" to keep and bear arms has to give way to the right of our children not be murdered, and the rights of all of us not to have in fear.
