I've been following Larry Lessig for some time now. He's well known for his work on Copyright and for Creative Commons, with Aaron Schwartz involvement there.
As I read the dialog here, I am frankly stunned we don't have more effort going toward this basic reform of money in politics discussion going on.
Every single issue we care about has either gone unanswered, or it's come at a cost. We get a little progress, but then the money gets it's way somehow too, leaving us with a burden and very little overall value relative to what there could be with a more sane legislative effort.
So why not?
