Long ago Bucky was my name,
Bucky Beaver teeth led the way.
Teeth too large for mouth
Mouth too small for teeth.
I didn't own the name,
But it owned me.
No smiles when I saw the boys,
Because I knew what they would say:
"Ah, what's up, Doc?
Kiss me, my tonsils itch."
Bucky Beaver cried herself to sleep at nights,
Hoping for miracles for her Ugly Duckling face.
Always to awake with a small mouth
Dwarfed by monstrous teeth ready to bite!
Bucky, Bucky, Bucky was my name,
Bucky Bucky was going insane!
Parents grew tired of seeing my pain,
So out came the teeth
Never to be seen again.
I lost my nickname that day
But the Bucky scars were here to stay.
