The immigration debate signaled the final collapse of what was the Republican Party into the fearful hate filled realm of the Tea Party. John Boehner [R-Kleenex] couldn't even muster the courage to take an open vote of the House of Representatives, so the damage continues.
I hear some democrats trying to distance themselves from the President [not to the left of but to the right of] as if this will somehow motivate Democrats to actually bother voting. We hear constantly that Democrats are difficult to motivate into voting in the midterms, without actually getting to the bottom of why this is so.
The Republican Party have followed their right wing base off the bloody cliff yet we are still talking about them taking the Senate and the odds look to be in their favor. Even when our politicians in the so called toss up states start looking like old fashioned Republicans.
I also hear when Democrats vote, they win. So why don't they vote?
Yes...but...they are not as bad as....gosh I feel that motivation bubbling up...I cant wait...
Goddammit I wish some of our lot rather than trying to peel off the Republican vote from the Teabublicans [as if that is going to happen] concentrated on actually giving their base a real reason to get out and vote, it is not as if they are lacking in motivational tools as proved by Elizabeth Warren who seems to taken a leaf out of the old Democratic Party play book:
That’s because Warren — the former academic policy expert who seems to exude honest earnestness and white-hot righteous anger all at the same time — is proving to be quite the force on the campaign trail. Already incredibly popular, she has leveraged her growing influence within the party to raise funds and stump for Democratic candidates across the country. She has, for instance, campaigned for Democratic Senate candidates in Tennessee and West Virginia — both deep-red states — and raised money for Democrats in blue states like Oregon and Michigan. She did this, it should be noted, all while on a platform as anti-Wall Street as it comes. She has even attracted the notice of Republicans, who deem her a big enough threat to vilify her wherever she goes.
White-hot righteous anger is what I feel and coupled with honesty to my mind it is a sure fire winner.
So what’s the big deal? Why is an articulation of basic principles something worthy of time or attention? Well, for one, there is the way she delivered it — forthrightly and without a hint of backtracking or centrist triangulation.
Inspire and motivate the base and they will vote and take as many others as they can grab along with them, fight fire with fire, not damp "Republican Light" squibs.
Remember if Democrats vote, or so the meme goes, they win.
Give the people a clear and honest differential and they will vote, make it a real fight about ideas and we will win.

Throw their wedge issues in their faces and mock them in their flag wrapped hatred.
Make a stand. Change we can really get behind.
Tread on them.
Then we will see who gets out the vote.
Or we can do our usual and follow them ever rightwards and probably lose again.
