I am a Columbus area resident and would just LOVE to have the convention there for the '16 action.
And now, there is no avoiding it, because Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream is on the case trying to pull in the decision-makers.

Now, normally I would flat-out refuse even to entertain the idea of a $14 ice cream cone, but you really have to try this stuff. To die for. There is no resisting it. We tried the pear-reisling sorbet recipe at home and it turned out pretty good.
From the article:
"We'll do anything it takes to get them here," she said.
That included a special flavor of Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams -- White House blueberry -- made exclusively for and mailed out in the past week or so to anyone with any leverage in selecting the site for the presidential nominating convention. Columbus is up against Philadelphia and New York.
Britton Bauer said the flavor was inspired by an American classic, White House cherry, which her company has made before. Cherries tend to be red though, obviously a no-no for Democrats. White House blueberry is made with elderberry liquor, white chocolate flecks and, of course, blueberries.
I wish I could have some. Oh, by the way, I might have camping space for four or five kind people should it happen here.
