This is supposed to be the 2 billion dollar election, right?
Everyone and their mother on both sides of the aisle agrees that money in politics is the root problem that must be solved before any of the rest can be addressed, because the politicians elected with special interest and corporate donations represent special interests and corporations.
Businesses don't spent money without expecting a return on investment.
I believe the vast majority of Americans agree that money in politics is the main issue that must be resolved and is the root of all the problems with our broken democracy
So since we all agree, why the hell would you vote for anyone who accepts corporate bribes?
Can you imagine if that 2 billion was spent and the return on investment was zero because they LOST?
We the people have to decide to stop voting for anyone taking corporate contributions. Taking what amounts to a bribe needs to make you unelectable.
And since the none of us like money's corrupting influence in politics, the only option is to vote for the candidate who isn't taking money for his politics.
We don't need the courts or a new law. We can defeat corporate dollars by voting against them. We must make it clear that THIS is why we will not vote for them.
Go under the squiggle for an admittedly insultingly snarky poll.
