Not the title I wanted to see on my news feed today:
Webb to consider running for president as an independent.
Not much to report other than that. After making an impression as the grumpiest Democrat alive last Tuesday, he's still griping about not getting enough time in the debate. But with the time he did have, he didn't make the case that he can offer what the Dem frontrunners can't. Except, maybe, for more bombs and more war.
Didn't he run against W's all-war-all-the-time agenda in 2006 in his Senate race?
Not to worry, though. Since he doesn't have any staff or infrastructure or support or any ardent supporters or personality or platform, Democrats don't have to worry about him siphoning too many votes.
But what's grift? Or has running for president become the pastime for retired people with nothing else to do? Whatever happened to volunteering or scrapbooking?
