I am thinking either Ben is crazy in a Deluxe, Limited Edition manner, or he is just not really interested in being president.
Ben Carson opposes abortion for rape victims while comparing them to ‘slave owners’
Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson said on Sunday that believes Roe v. Wade should be overturned, and that women should not be allowed to have abortions even in the case of rape or incest.
“The mother should not believe that the baby is her enemy and should not be looking to terminate the baby,” Carson opined to NBC host Chuck Todd. “We’ve allowed purveyors of division to think that baby is their enemy and they have a right to kill it. Can you see how perverted that line of thinking is?”
When it came to the rights of women, Carson insisted that they should not have the legal choice to terminate unwanted pregnancies.
“Think about this. During slavery — and I know that one of those words you’re not supposed to say — but I’m saying it,” Carson said. “During slavery, a lot of the slave owners thought they had the right to do whatever they wanted to that slave, anything that they chose to do. And what if the abolitionists had said, ‘You know, I don’t believe in slavery, I think it’s wrong. But you guys do whatever you want to do.’ Where would we be?”
Republicans, per one man named Barack Obama, current president of these United States,
are 'gloomy'. They live in a "Twilight Zone" of an alternative reality.
And he is correct.
I mean, my GOD! WTF is Ben even talking about? There is so much cray-cray packed into the 4 little sentences I can excerpt under Fair Use.
Here's just a taste of Unboxing Ben Carson's Republican Party Bullshit
1: Rowe vs Wade should be repealed.
This is a stock GOP theme, something they are always always always talking about, focused upon, to the exclusion of actual reality. It's their war on Women's right to choose. Period. End of discussion. That's all it is: take away women's ability to make choices for their lives.
2: women should not be allowed to have abortions even in the case of rape or incest. “The mother should not believe that the baby is her enemy and should not be looking to terminate the baby,
Hardcore, mean-spirited posturing. Another part of the GOP ideology, clearly related to #1 but taken a bit further for Ben to posture as hardcore on the rights of the fetus, the only human beings the GOP cares about. And then, really, that's not even true, is it?
Bonus points for man-splaining how women feel after becoming pregnant during rape or incest. What an asshole.
3: During slavery — and I know that one of those words you’re not supposed to say
Here Ben is showing everybody how manly he is by daring to say words he's "not supposed to say". This is the red meat thrown to conservatives who feel like "political correctness' prevents them from "speaking the truth".
Their truth being racist, misogynistic and fraught with conspiracy thinking such as Obama is sneaking up on them to take their guns. So Ben's breaking new ground in a mavericky fashion by saying The S Word: Slavery.
4:“During slavery, a lot of the slave owners thought they had the right to do whatever they wanted to that slave, anything that they chose to do.
So now you can see how a woman who has been raped is just like a slave owner for even THINKING about having an abortion. It's just supremely unfair of her. Yes, yes, she's been assaulted, and probably even harmed but she should be happy that God - I suppose Ben thinks that God sends rapists to impregnate womens and that's why womens shouldn't even think about getting an abortion.
It's so crazy.
Ben Carson: "He's a real fucking piece of work™."
