I’m not a Hillary supporter for the Democratic nomination, but she did receive a substantial endorsement from the SEIU as referenced in another diary here on DKos. It would be interesting to learn, just as a student of politics, how these types of endorsements are rolled out. What are the nuts and bolts of an endorsement rollout? Does the union just come out with its endorsement or is there coordination ( as I suspect there would be at this level of politics, unless there is some campaign finance law I’m unaware of) with the campaign on when the announcement is made. And if there is coordination, which campaign leaders get involved in the decision making for the rollout? Also, why was the decision to make the endorsement today and not last week or next month? In other words , what goes into the timing of an endorsement? Any thoughts? Any campaign veterans out there who can share their experience?
