Wow!
While I didn’t watch 60 minutes I was amazed by the message Apple sent to the workers of America. Since the Reagan era of union busting,, tax cuts for the rich and the mass exodus of skilled work to Asia CEO of Apple has the gumption to lecture the American worker on his lack of skills.
Tim Cook: Apple products aren’t made in China because it’s cheaper
“It’s skill,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said
“The U.S., over time, began to stop having as many vocational kind of skills,” Cook explained. “I mean, you can take every tool and die maker in the United States and probably put them in a room that we’re currently sitting in. In China, you would have to have multiple football fields.”

Really Mr. Cook?
Your whole argument assumes that Americans simply quit wanting to be skilled workers forcing businesses no choice but to go to China. The hard realities Mr. Cook is that people like you are greedy and with no other reason but to keep more of the wealth created by the American worker and consumer. Rather than share the wealth created by the labor of the American worker you sent American skilled factory jobs to Asia.
But wait, it got better, in your next breath you said as much.
Earlier in the interview, the conversation heated up just a bit when the subject turned to allegations that Apple is a “tax avoider” and is “engaged in a sophisticated scheme” to shelter the $74 billion in revenue parked overseas.
“That is total political crap,” Cook fired back. He said he’d “love to bring it home” but doesn’t because “it would cost me 40%... and I don’t think that’s a reasonable thing to do.

Guys like you left America in its current state and felt compelled to blame the very people you abandoned. It became the fault of Americans that you can’t find the cheap skilled worker in America.
Mr. Cook really, you need to become a American again. You need to take your negative view and turn it into a positive by seeking the obvious solution to your complaint. Bring American manufacturing home.
