David Kurtz at TPM asks that question. The "you" is directed broadly at everyone who currently benefits from the ACA.
Before answering the question, let's do a basic review. Breaking with procedural precedent, the SCOTUS decision to take up King v. Burwell plucks the case out of circuit court jurisdiction just before an en blanc review in the DC court of appeals of a similar case, Halbig v. Burwell. Legal experts widely expected the DC court to rule against the plaintiffs on the question of whether or not Congress intended ACA subsidies to be available to people whose state let the federal government setup their insurance exchange. So the SCOTUS decision to interrupt the usual process stinks very much of partisan meddling.
Returning to the question of how aware David Kurtz's "you" may be, I wonder how polling fits into this situation. I haven't seen public polling on implications of the SCOTUS decision to hear the case. Have you?
Do you think more polling could help raise awareness of the huge stakes of the upcoming hearing?
