We're all aware of the wrong John McCain (R-AZ) did in 2008 when he introduced a blundering idiot named Sara Palin to the national stage. Along the line McCain has had opportunities to right this wrong, and, time after time as a sitting senior U.S. Senator from Arizona that has nothing in common with his former Vice Presidential running mate from a state 2,637 miles away, he's passed on sticking the proverbial fork in her.
McCain's only reason for doing this is to save face because of his politically fatal mistake of listening to Steve Schmidt's advice, primarily derived from his testosterone filled brain who was sure every other male in America and most women, felt the same way as he did, in love with Sarah. But at a time when conservatives, including the much revered Byron York of the Washington Examiner are calling for Palin's eradication from the national scene, McCain could have lent his party a hand by effectively removing a distraction prior to the upcoming 2016 elections. Now was the opportune time for McCain to turn from a wussy who played second fiddle to Palin in 2008, to a true Maverick.
In a recent interview with the Washington post, McCain was queried on Palin's chances at a White house run, and McCain answered handily:"She's very interesting. And I'm sure she'd do great. What? That was it! Hey, perpetual Johnny "come marching home again" McCain, that was the moment! At that moment you should have thought of much more than sticking a fork in her, this would have been the time for a political "estocada."
As in a Spanish bullfight, it's up to the Maverick Bull Fighter to put the massive animal to death. If he fails to do so in his "estocada," he's essentially a disgrace, and the "presidente" who governs over the bullfight must act and decide whether to spare the bull and allow him to live, but never to fight again, or, to extinguish its life. McCain's failure to use the "estocada" amounts to a disgraced Matador, Maverick, sitting U.S. Senator, whatever title you decide to affix.
By the way, if the Bull is spared, never to have to fight again, it's not because of mercy for the bull, it's because the animal gains sufficient experience that it would be too dangerous for other bullfighters. Sarah Palin has proved to be of no danger to the Democrats or the Liberals, therefore the only danger she poses by surviving politically is against her own party and it's 2016 candidates. The geriatric political warhorse blows it yet again!
I notice there are still some conservatives and even some liberals bloggers still lending credibility to Sarah Palin in 2015 for a possible 2016 run, as far as I'm concerned, the only credibility Palin has, is derived from John McCain's inability to accept a horrible mistake.
