50 lies from Fox News in 6 seconds - go!
The folks at Fox News took it upon themselves to get in a few knocks against Jon Stewart after he announced his impending retirement from
The Daily Show. Feeling hurt and insulted, Jon did the only thing he could—he challenged them to a "lie off."
After getting out a white glove and symbolically slapping Fox News to challenge them to the duel, he ran a 6-second clip of 50 lies told on Fox News (scroll down to see the Vine video).
From the segment:
You see, something of a conventional wisdom about this show has taken hold on the right. A thought they've become so comfortable with that they don't feel the need to even offer evidence to support it. That we lie and distort things all the time to make them look bad. It's perhaps best summed up by this fella here........(Limbaugh clip.)
Limbaugh Clip #1: Jon Stewart has helped polarize the country by poisoning the Republican brand. Oh, yes...
Stewart: Poisoning the Republican brand! You talking about this brand right here?
Limbaugh clip #2: The college co-ed, Susan Fluke, who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex. What does that make her? It makes her a slut, right?
Limbaugh clip #3: If any race of people should not have guilt about slavery, it's caucasians.
Limbaugh clip #4: Obama's entire economic program is reparations.
Limbaugh clip #5: Limbaugh using offensive "ching-chong" tones to mock Hu Jintao, former General Secretary of the Communist Party of China
Limbaugh clip #6: (Limbaugh moving awkwardly in chair, mimicking Michael J. Fox testifying before Congress on Parkinson's Disease—which he has.) He's moving all around, shaking, it's purely an act. This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox.
Stewart: We poisoned that brand. Just out of curiosity, let me ask you a question—and I mean this sincerely—how do you poison a cyanide factory?
That's just a snippet of Jon's best-ever takedown of Fox News and conservative media. Watch the segment here:
