Elenacarlena needs our help. Life has thrown her one curve ball after another and she needs her friends to keep her afloat. Before I let her tell you a little about what's going on with her, I think it is important that you know just what kind of a person she is.
Elena is just simply one of the most supportive Kossacks I have known in the 8 years since I made this site my online home. Elena has tried to reach out to those in need in the comments, supported diaries like this with recs and tips and republishing, become active editor and/or admin for Support the Dream Defenders and This Week in the War on Women, and founded a support group, Pain Patient Empowerment. We have LOL'd at Les Beastiables on Wednesday afternoons, where outrage meets cute.
Thank you, JoanMar! I have good news and bad news. The bad news is I'm not getting paid yet. The good news is that not only do I have a part-time job doing landscaping for my landlord in lieu of rent, and a little income about to come in from Les Beastiables -- I just today finally was accepted for a fulltime transcription job!
But here's the thing: I need about $200 in new software to work for them, and I am out of money. I have two pooties with special needs who are running low on medicine, and a low-maintenance woozle. We are running low on food and need bills paid. I will probably be in training the rest of this month, first full paycheck not until July 25. So, since I tapped out friends and family again in between the last fundraiser and this one, I have to turn to this community again. But the best news is, this is the last time! And if anyone wants to make a loan rather than a gift, I'll be able to start paying people back in mid July. Otherwise I'll plan to pay it forward in fundraisers after that. What a relief!
For now, though, I need about one month's expenses, which without rent amount to about $1800. About half of that is for the animals. Both pooties need medicine very soon. Special needs pooties are expensive!!
Please see below the orange twistings of squeezed finances for how you can help.
Here's How You Can Help Elena
If you have a PayPal account and have never used it to send money to anyone, it is really simple.
- Go to PayPal.com.
- Click Send Money to Family and Friends, which should look something like this:
- Enter elenacarlena's email address (which is karlekonsultants@cs.com) and amount you are sending. The sender's name is visible to the recipient. If PayPal asks if you'd like to comment, please put a note that this is a donation for a friend.
- As a reminder, you can also help by keeping this diary on the Rec List, republishing to your Daily Kos groups, linking to your Facebook pages, and helping to spread the word through Twitter.
Thank you for caring and your generous contribution.
You can receive all future postings by clicking this link for the Community Fundraisers Group. Then, click 'Follow' and that will make all postings show up in 'My Stream' of your Daily Kos page.
