I'm not calling people out, I'm calling for information.
On a guess, this past weekend's religious services nationwide addressed a single topic, the racist terror attack in Charleston's Emanuel AME Church, with a breadth not seen since perhaps September 11. As far as I can tell, there is no, repeat no, broad central listing of sermons or sermon topics, even within most cities or denominations.
Yet the collective response of clergy--and congregants--to this stunning glimpse of the ugly white underbelly of US society is, I would argue, more important than the snap polls and politicians' tweets that have generated so many words here at DKos and across the media. That's because millions of people have been shaken, jolted, and are trying to figure out how to respond to this horror before them.
So.
Please, if you know any way to get some aggregated information, post it below. And if you attended services this weekend, share a little bit about how Charleston and racism and white privilege were addressed, and about what your response was.
