How much hypocrisy? THIS much.
Show me a Democrat anywhere near as prominent as former Arkansas Governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee who said anything close to what he
said after the Supreme Court
ruled in favor of marriage equality:
The Supreme Court has spoken with a very divided voice...I will not acquiesce to an imperial court any more than our Founders acquiesced to an imperial British monarch. We must resist and reject judicial tyranny, not retreat.
Go on. Show me. I didn't think so. Now ask yourself what would have happened—what Republicans would have said—if those who believed Al Gore actually was elected president of the United States had called for resistance to the Supreme Court's decision selecting George W. Bush instead. Ask yourself what would Republicans have done if Gore supporters had compared such resistance to the American Revolution itself, and compared the Supreme Court to King George III. Ask yourself what would have been the reaction of the mainstream media to such statements—had they been made.
Now ask yourself what's going to happen to Mike Huckabee, or to any other national Republican who speaks in similar terms about the court's decision in Obergefell v. Hodges. You know exactly what the answer is.
