Received this e-mail today from Secretary of State Jason Kander's (D. MO) U.S. Senate campaign:
When Tea Party Senator Roy Blunt talks about moral and family values, it's generally about his efforts to deny women access to health care or to stop same-sex couples from being able to get married.
What you'll rarely hear is anything about pre or post-natal care for mothers and their children, or passing paid sick leave so a parent can stay home with a sick child.
Those are moral and family values.
So it's no surprise Senator Blunt and his Republican allies are planning to bring up for a vote a 20-week abortion ban, even though it's so extreme that it's opposed by the American Congress of Gynecologists and Obstetricians.
Sign my petition calling on Senator Blunt, and all Senators, to vote against this anti-choice legislation.

This is another case where extreme senators are going against the experts. Politicians shouldn't try to overrule doctors, and women shouldn't be forced to explain or justify their own medical decisions.
Limiting access to medically necessary healthcare can turn a desperate situation into a tragic one.

Jason Kander
