Terrible Revelations We MUST Face Now, Part 1

Terrible Revelations We MUST Face Now, Part 3
it should be pretty clear now that at this time in history, a new overall mindset and outlook is required to create any truly effective changes today. The blind tribalism of the willfully ignorant are ruining so much for everyone, and yet the checks and balances put in place to prevent so much damage are being corrupted or stripped away. Who will be the ones to lead the way? Who will fight in the name of a better future for those who care? The answer should be obvious, and far more important than you may think...
(This is 4 out of 4.)
Either YOU make the move towards a solution to a problem, or NO ONE does.
Corporations and government alike, abuse, scam, ignore, idle, steal, and lie, and yet worry little of major repercussions, because we depend on them
so much. Often, the worst things they face are like, not being reelected, or not having as many of their products bought. Punishments against their misbehavior are limited to slaps on the wrist, compared to what would happen if ordinary people or smaller entities were punished for the same things. They can cause a number of problems for us, and find ways to benefit from the trouble they caused, due to our dependency on them. They're our source of misery, and yet they've gotten this way because they're our source of convenience.
We've been raised to expect someone else to solve most of our problems for us. We need something, we expect products to be provided by someone else; We need water, we expect it to be pumped and purified by someone else; We need safety, we expect someone else to protect us; We need a big problem fixed, we expect the people we elect to make things better. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, since if you don't have the resources or know-how readily available, then it is best to ask someone else who does to do it. Too much expectation however, leaves us vulnerable for when those we depend on take advantage of their importance.
Who's going to making them act on their best behavior, if no one is willing to make them face the consequences of their actions? We say "If only someone would lead," "If only someone would do something," "If only someone would fight for what I believe in," "One day that someone is going to appear and make real changes." Too long we've waited for someone to step up and take on such corruption for us, only to have no one do it. This reminds me of a segment from one of Barack Obama's campaign speeches in 2008:
"Change will not come if we wait for some other person... or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for."
Despite what he said, people elected him and expected
him to make great revolutionary changes. He made some big changes, but much of it was either watered down or the exact opposite from what the country needed. (Sometimes it was his choice, sometimes it wasn't.) Despite his speech, people believed that
he was that "some other person." We can't continue telling ourselves that someone else is going to solve our problems for us. The only one who is going to solve the problems effecting
us is
you.
I know a bunch of readers are asking:
- Aren't you placing the responsibility on me now? Why don't you try it? -
I did; still am in spite of meeting with failure each time so far. (Almost all rhetorical questions and responses I address, like the one above this paragraph, are based off the concerns of actual people I talked to one time or another.) I live in central Florida, which is mostly conservative, so I have to venture out of my county each time to find ideals remotely similar to mine.
When I do meet others who are self-described as "politically active," and aren't diametrically opposed to everything I believe in, I sometimes talk politics with them and I try to choose my words and tone carefully. When I bring up to them that certain things will
not make the most effective changes, like constantly avoiding all forms of confrontation, or looking to get themselves arrested to try and make a point, the response is typical. (In this case, "typical" is not a good thing.) Usually however, I don't run into the "politically active," but instead one of the many Floridians who contribute to this state being the least politically educated and engaged in the country. They may say they care about what goes on, but their excuses are varied. They often boil down to, "What's the point.", "I'm too old.", "No one else is doing it, so why should I?", and "Someone else will do it."
In the end, I failed each time because no one helped me out. I had no one to work on/improve ideas with, no one to spread those ideas with, no one to carry out those ideas with, and no one willing to actively support those ideas. An unbelievably large number of people in this nation erect arbitrary perimeters for when they'll finally actively join a worthy cause:
- "I'll join when it becomes national."
- "I'll join when the big corporations rule the US."
- "I'll join when the situation becomes like Ukraine."
- "I'll join when the government comes for my guns."
- "I'll join when the US stops being attacked by terrorists."
These "last straws" will either never happen, or they do happen but some new arbitrary line has to be crossed. They don't think, "Maybe if I join the cause now, I can help it progress, which will entice others to follow, thus making its success much more likely. In fact, joining now will increase the chances of stopping the 'last straw' from even happening!"
When I say
you, I mean
we, as in
me, you, and anyone else who cares. Just saying "WE" allows wiggle room for the reader or listener to exclude themselves, and say "They mean themselves, so I don't need to get involved." In actuality, the responsibility of solving the problems
we face, is on
me as well as it is on
you. Want a leader or a group that shares your ideas and views?
You become that leader or group's founder; Is there already an existing one that you want to succeed?
You do your best to help, even if it means
you have to actively join them;
You are the one we've been waiting for, and if
you do
your part, others with similar ideals will do theirs.
- Okay, let's say many join in the struggle. Since everybody is going to create the changes for me, I can sit back and let them pick up my slack. -
...OR...
- I want things to change, but not with so many jockeying for dominance. There's going to be so much chaos. -
Look at it this way:
Every momentous period of potential change throughout history, has two types of overall movements: the movement of change, and the movement of preservation. The movement of preservation works to keep things the way they are for better or worse, while the movement of change works to fix/do away with some/all of the ways currently in place. Rarely, if ever, the movement of change will have a single faction with one main ideal as its foundation. Quite often, the movement is composed of multiple factions with their own ideals, despite probably sharing the same primary goal. Usually the ideals of some factions are highly toxic, and if allowed to become a significant part of the movement, it will only lead to utter disaster.
I'm sure you've once looked back on a time and place in history, at one or both of those types of movements at that time, and thought, "If someone of logic and reason overshadowed such horrendous individuals, and were the ones to lead their people instead, things could've gone so much better." Problem is that you can't change the past, and all momentous changes are never neat and tidy, whether it's before or during the transition; that's the way it has been and always will be. However, what you can do is prevent those with the worst intentions today, from gaining any substantial significance tomorrow. As you may already know, the sleep of reason brings forth monsters. Hopefully reader, you're a reasonable individual. If you want to insure the least amount of chaos, and insure that the best ideals are the most successful, don't wait on the sidelines and hope for the best outcome; become an active participant to make sure everything goes more like the way they should.
- How would you be able to tell the difference between the "reasonable" and the "monsters"? -
The reasonable are generally good with self-discipline, as they know when to hold back, when to release, and who to do so with. They keep an open mind but consider all options that don’t easily compromise their base principles, knowing viable solutions come in the form of both words and actions, which are only truly effective when used wisely. They take responsibility for their own actions and hold others to theirs. Most of all they're grounded in reality, but not so much that they can't think outside of the box. To objectively observe someone who is both reasonable and responsible, leaves little open to levy against them the same criticisms levied against monsters.
Monsters are not capable of reasoning, especially when they're in positions of power. They lack empathy and honesty, to the point where they only understand greed and power and/or they give into their emotions more often than sound logic. Their answers are closed-minded, rarely do they admit to any responsibility if they feel it may somehow reflect badly on them or what they like, and their standards are ultimately hypocritical. Worst of all, they're repulsed by reality. You can often tell because they use hyperbole and generalization as their default to define nearly everything, without serious consideration for objectivity. In attempts to obscure the truth, they look for their own "facts" (ranging from cherry-picking to outright lying,) and psychologically project their monstrous selves onto anyone who they hate and/or points out their flaws. They would rather believe the whole world is against them, than accept that they could be wrong.
This repulsion makes negotiations between them and a reasonable party near impossible. To monsters, compromise means, "I get everything I want, and if I don't, all of your efforts are meaningless to me." You can't reach across the aisle and find common ground; not even by selling out the less fortunate, betraying trustworthy allies, and sacrificing values. Attempts to appease them only emboldens their monstrous behavior. You can't reason with monsters, because their insatiable hunger for greed and power, and their hatred of reality, dictates their behavior. There are only two choices available to you when dealing with people like this: You can either feed their addictions, or you beat them into submission like the bullies they are.
It's up to you to both, succeed against the main opposition, and keep the unreasonable factions from taking control of the movement's reins. It's not going to be fun and there's going to be a lot of pressure, but it needs to be done without procrastination. Act now or right after you get your affairs in order, either way you MUST take the initiative very soon without delay. Otherwise, the corruption currently in place will make our country's (or even our world's,) situation more dire. As history has shown, as circumstances become direr, the ones who do eventually take the reins in the presence of desperation and absence of reason, are usually the monstrous members of humanity.
[Thank you for reading this diary series. I hope you take these entries to heart. If you're going to take any action around Polk County, send me a message so we can maybe meet and possibly work together. Good luck, be careful, don't send your reasoning to sleep.]
