I just finished watching an episode of Law and Order titled DWB from Season 9, episode 2. The main story line is a black man is pulled over by 2 officers in a vehicle from the impound lot on suspicion of casing a deli to rob it because he'd circled the block a couple of times. When he told them he was a part time police officer, they pulled him from his car then beat him. When the went to take him to the station house, they met up with another office and the 3 decided to "break" him. The took him to a field, beat him, then tied him to the car and dragged him to death.
They burned the car but fibers were found on the bumper. Blue wall closed up but, being Law and Order, the officers were convicted after they got one to roll on the other.
Sounds like today, doesn't it.
The episode is from 1998, 14 years ago. Nothing has changed.
