People are excited that someone as authentic as Bernie Sanders has found a way to succeed in our dysfunctional political system without becoming corrupted or chewed up by the machine, and without ever once turning his back on the people of America or the cause of justice.
Bernie is where all the excitement is in the race. People recognize what a unique moment this is. A man scorned and reviled as a socialist has America eating out of his hand. What's he got that's so unique? Authenticity and commitment to bringing about real change, unlike all the bullshit change we've been sold in the past. Real and desperately needed change.
People are waking up. They are fed up. Fed up with the Bankster gangsters who can do no wrong. Fed up with the failure to provide health care to all. Fed up with the giant screwjob we call an economy. Fed up with racism and social injustice. Fed up with bullshit wars. Fed up with austerity and tax cuts for billionaires. Fed up with the prisons. Fed up with the cops. Fed up with those who try to divide us by race, class or whatever. Fed up with the oligarchy. Fed up with corporate ownership of America.
People are waking up and Bernie is there, waiting for the people to catch up to him. This is a historical confluence of the peoples will and the readiness of a stalwart long-standing champion of the people. Of such moments, history is made.
We are turning a hopeless cause into a political revolution.
If we are going to finally make some goddamned progress in this once hopeful country, it's going to take the leadership of people like Bernie Sanders. And how many of those have we got?
I see one.
Other people see it too. The opposition says we're delusional.
Au contraire, mon frere. We're finally waking up.
