...that the Republican party has no leader, no one they respect enough to encourage as the most honorable among them to run for President. Rather, we have a bunch of fame-seeking wannabes, absent of trust in anyone else but themselves, and recognizing no authority but their own. We also know that for each of them, building the foundation for better circumstances for common citizens is not in their self-interest. Ideology trumps Reason.
People run for public office for two principal reasons: A) They have been successful in life and in their wisdom, and seek the respect earned by accomplishing important things for their fellow citizens and country; or B) They have negligible notable accomplishments and are drawn to fame, power and money for themselves, occasionally forced against their self-interest into doing well for others as part of their facade. The Republican Presidential candidate field is the consequence of this pathetic aggrandizement of people with small spirits.
What we are seeing is the result of a Republican Party having lost their honor by being seekers of mere applause, rather than being seekers of a better world for all; by sucking up...and pissing down.
