Although Donald Trump has taken a lot of heat for his June 16th comments about immigrants, only the Raleigh News & Observer noticed that his earlier remarks on this topic were even more over-the-top.
Speaking at the North Carolina Republican Party convention on June 6, Trump added "killers" to his list of adjectives for immigrants, and showed off his foreign policy chops by declaring that "Mexico is not our friend. Only stupid people think that Mexico is our friend." He described the United States as a "dumping ground" for the problems of Latin America, claiming that, "All these people, they’re never going to help us. They’re only going to hurt us."
His use of terms such as "clown" and "ass" to describe other Republican presidential contenders is reported to have raised a few eyebrows. No word on reaction to his comments about immigrants.
