Competing with DANIEL LIPINSKI (IL-03) for worst Democrat, are MIKE QUIGLEY (IL-5), TAMMY DUCKWORTH (IL-08), BILL FOSTER (IL-11) and CHERI BUSTOS (IL-17) who all pose as Dems but they are often not progressive. Duckworth is running for IL junior Senatorial seat while passing as a contrast to Mark Kirk, who has pledged to vote for disapproval of the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA) usually called the "Iran Nuclear Deal".
Does anyone know the position on JCPOA of BOBBY RUSH (IL-01), ROBIN KELLY (IL-02), Lipinski, Quigley, Duckworth, Foster, or Bustos? They represent Obama's home state! Senior IL Senator DICK DURBIN was the 3rd Senator to announce a position of approval for the JCPOA!
They all follow conserva-dem DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ (FL-23) in obstinate refusal of diplomacy in a race among Members of Congress for the prize of losing U.S. international stature or worse, gaining armed conflict; they are completely incompetent to articulate and establish Mid-East policy for the good of us all.
Luis Gutiérrez (IL-04), Danny Davis (IL-07) and Jan Schakowsky (IL-09) are leading Democratic House of Representatives caucus members to publicly support the JCPOA. Thanks to them for publicly expressing sanity!
The Hill "Whip List" update 3pm ET 8-21-15 Lists RECENT UPDATES as Democratic Reps. Jerry Nadler (NY-10), Jerry McNerney (Calif.), John Larson (Conn.), Maxine Waters (Calif.), Michael Capuano (Mass.), Gwen Moore (Wis.), Rubén Hinojosa (Texas), Denny Heck (Wash.), Donald Norcross (N.J.), Paul Tonko (N.Y.), Brad Ashford (Neb.), Steve Cohen (Tenn.), Rosa DeLauro (Conn.), and Mike Honda (Calif.). Norcross is listed as "No" JCPOA, Ashford is "Leaning No" on it and the rest of the recent public statements are "Yes" for JCPOA.
Notice today's update list has none of those obstinately defiant 7 Illinoisans. Phone them at the Congressional Switchboard 202-224-3121 or 202-225-3121 to say “I urge Rep. Duckworth to support the Iran deal because it is the best way to avoid the U.S. starting another war. I also want you to approve the JCPOA Iran Nuclear Deal.”
