Seen the news? Avid Life Media, Inc. -- a.k.a./dba "Ashley Madison.com" -- is presented on corporate media news programs as a Free Speech company beset by hacker moralists. Believe the corporatist hype and ALM/AM is the victim here. The Impact Team hackers are anti-sex extremists.
Or not.
More accurately, when investigators got in to the database, followed the money and tracked accounts ALM/AM turns out to have been a large scale scam with billions of dollars a year in corrupt revenues.
"Life is short. Have an affair." That's the pitch. But overwhelmingly what they're selling is access to not much. Faked IDs. Faked pics. Faked story lines. Crunch the numbers and this turns out to be yet another inventive corporate excursion into organized crime.
Use Dark Web or Bit Torrent software to access the files. Originally the files were left wide open. Pass1234 from the internet to VPN left open root access on the ALMl servers
Where the corporations think they can get away with a scam, they do it. It's business. That's modern capitalism from Berlusconi to Trump to ALM/AM. And the laws in Canada reflect Right Wing dogma -- hating government regulations translates to lawlessness.
The hack, itself, is presented on the network and cable news programs as though this is a scene from a sexual morality play. Identities and credit card numbers are being outed to punish adulterers. That's not what the hackers say.
-- 90% to 95% of the live members are male
-- 95% of the "Female" accounts are faked
All MSM have to say is that names and credit card data have been published. They never present the theft/fraud figures: that AM has been scamming $6,000,000,000 a year by offering sexual access to mostly nonexistent women.
25,000,000 x $19 x12 = approximately $6,000,000,000 revenue.
Yeah, $6 billion gross revenue a year with faked pages, faked responses, overall a faked "experience." What's a husband going to do? Call the cops?
It's not the $5.2 trillion that Wall Street stole from pension funds and investors with the 1,500 "AAA by bribery" derivative/mortgage-backed investment instruments. It's not the $2.1 trillion scammed in the robo-signed, replaced Balloon Clause mortgages.
This is just billions.
Six billions a year. And one helluvan ad budget.
Nothing happening here. No reason to tell the vics that they have been harmed, that suing ALM/AM might have a future. That the money that went to ALM/AM was obtained fraudulently.
There's also a story out that ALM/AM "blackmailed" its own clients to the tune of $100 million a year. That needs more work to verify.
AshleyMadison.com claims almost 40,000,000 accounts worldwide. There's one born everywhere, every minute.
Go. Sign up. Pay your $19. You can get laid with a blonde hottie and there's millions of her at AM. That's the story.
For sure corporate MSM aren't warning anybody off. ALM/AM buys hundreds of millions of dollars in ads, right?

The Feds just shut down rentboy.com today.
That's similar to Ashley Madison with profiles and hook-ups. Thing is, the play part is/was heavily prostitution.
Betcha several of the profiles are FBI plants. And the good ship ashleymadison.com rolls on and on.
