It struck me when I was checking out RCP today. The way the various coalitions are set up, there's no way anyone else gets enough advantage or disadvantage to topple the Trump.
Here's what each constituency is looking for in a candidate:
As you can see, not only are there no obvious coalitions that could form by a candidate or two dropping out, but many of the coalitions may split with Trump. The largest coalition, the pro-corruption coalition (consisting of Chris Christie, Rick Perry, JEB!, and Scott Walker), is certainly one The Donald could make inroads into. Conversely, the next largest coalition seems to like the idea of having a President who has no idea how to work the levers of government, but don't want it to be Trump.
Anyway, a trifle of a diary I didn't actually want to write. I just wanted to share the image and thought it needed some words to go with it.
