This LA Times article includes a video by an artist who was involved in creating the animated version of The Lion King that shows him creating an image memorializing Cecil, the illegally poached, beautiful alpha lion in Zimbabwe. It is fascinating.
Cecil Tribute
There is a phrase in one of the Lion King's songs that refers to the former kings looking down from above, so his tribute drawing shows Cecil looking down from the clouds in the sky onto members of his tribe.
It is beautiful, and fascinating to watch the creation of the drawing. If I could figure out how to post the image I would. I recommend following the link.
