WATCH: Florida man Tasered by cop after aggressively walking towards him yelling about police car lights
The video below shows a questionable event taking place between a white man and a cop. In America, in 2015 with cops as out of control as they are, a man actually walks aggressively toward a cop, cursing, and demands he turn off his cruiser's lights.
I am afraid I have to take the cop's side in this event: it seems to me the man was acting out of some huge sense of privilege, being confrontational with a cop who didn't 'pull him over' but who pulled over to see what's going on.
In the video a white man is apparently pulled over. He emerges from his car in an aggressive manner, quickly points at the officer, and strides towards the cops making demands.
The rest is over the fluffy orange cloud.
The man is sitting in his car with the door open in a turn lane, at a dead stop with the door open.
The officer rolls up behind him and flips on his lights. I have seen this a thousand times: it is for safety. This is a cop doing his job properly, so far.
The man jumps out very abruptly and points quickly at the officer. Had he been non-white he'd probably be dead right there: we have heard all the excuses a hundred times: "I thought he had a gun". But he's white.
He then proceeds to walk briskly up to the cop cursing him about his "goddamned lights'.
The officer says nothing to him and shoots him with a taser in the left arm and that knocks the guy down and does appear to cause a huge increase in cooperation.
So the cop is (A) actually just doing his job because it looked like a motorist with difficulties so the cop was likely stopping to inquire and maybe even render some assistance.
He is approached aggressively and (B) has to make a split-second decision and he chooses non-lethal means. Whether this just reflects this officer's style or reflects the officer making some sort of decision based on skin-color I can't tell and refuse to speculate.

I posted this because of the man's actions.
Who in their right mind confronts an American cop in 2015 in this sort of aggressive manner? Cops kill people for far, far less than this.
The man felt ENTITLED to approach the cop in this manner because of his white privilege. Judging from his expensive vehicle he is a rich white guy and he is used to having his way.
I am white and however I feel about the cops and their rampant criminality, I would NEVER act like this with any of them. One wants to get through interactions with the cops alive, in one piece and not be sucked into the system.
Like I said, I have few comments about the cop's actions. My feeling is that the civilian went out of his way to get the treatment he did and the cop was just doing his job.
I am not going to lionize him as one of the good cops (whom we are supposed to believe are everywhere out there) but white dude totally screwed up and has experienced the natural and logical consequences.
However, it is bizarre to me that the officer would post this interaction on his Facebook page.
Whats up with that?
