Albums and commercials on iTunes Radio have really changed throughout the years but not for the better. I listen to iTunes Radio and some album covers are really bad like Rihanna, Iggy Azalea, and Jessy J.
Iggy Azalea
Iggy Azalea sings Fancy, Pretty Girls, Black Widow, Go Hard Or Go Home, Work, Trouble, Bounce, and Beg for It. Also, Change Your Life, Heavy Crown, and Rolex, and finally Walk the Line. These are all great songs but they are ruined by the album cover, here's why, what does wearing a leotard have to do with music? (pls comment below if you have an idea, I'M SERIOUS) Jessie J sings some great songs. My personal favorites are Burnin' Up and Masterpiece. Even though they are great songs they have terrible album covers. My reason for saying this is because, she is naked, painted gold, and holding her breasts. To me, this is where sexism comes in. Many people tend to look at women's breasts and gawk when they should not be taught or influenced to gawk at all. And women, mostly celebrities seem to be the object used to promote this sexist behavior.
Rhianna. Oh, Rhianna her song Bleep Better Have My Money is about her ex-boyfriend in the backseat of her new car with another girl drinking Vodka. Whereas her album cover has her in a leather jacket looking like she has no emotions she has a hard nothingness expression on her face which makes me feel uncomfortable.
Rhianna
There is a commercial that drives my mom and me crazy. The game is called the Game of War. The woman is used as a prop and everyone falls in love with her. This really has nothing to do with the app Game of War!! When I look back at pop albums of not that long ago they are pictures that you could look at for hours trying to figure it out or you could make it a masterpiece or put it in an art museum as the center of attention. But no, it has to be sexy and disturbing.
this is the album that should be in an art museum
