To avoid shocking the innocent, I shall post most of the material below the fold. But I will tell you what is there.
First, someone went to R*dSt*t* and posted a solidly fact-based article that the strong of heart will find worth reading. However, writing under "Donald Trump is not conservative but he is not fringe" streif reports that Echelon Insights polled likely Republican primary voters and found two things: (1) who won (Trump) and lost (Paul, Christie, Walker) the debate and (2) where Trump supports are on social and economic issues (dead center among their voters). Readers will note that likely Republican primary voters are not us.
Second, Rand Paul is now so desperate for support that his campaign is trying to get its hands on Libertarian Party donor lists, and is calling Libertarian donors claiming that he has been endorsed by the Libertarian National Committee (a "Republican fact" also known as a "bald-faced lie"). After all, just because he is is anti-gay, anti-choice, supports a massive increase in defense spending, opposes the legalization of marijuana, and wants to use the tax code to pick winners and losers in the market, why shouldn't he be supported by Libertarians?

The claimed poll outcomes from likely primary voters:
Winners
Trump-28%
Rubio-20%
Carson-11%
Paul, Christie, Walker-2% each
There is also a graph of economic and social stands of supporters. The graph shows circles of different sizes corresponding to the amount of support, plotting social against economic liberalism and conservatism. There is a trend line. The Trump average is square in the middle of the trend line. Stands went only from "moderate" to "conservative". If the Republicans excommunicate the Trump supporters, they tear out the heart of their party, not a fringe. It is noteworthy that the "undecided" circle is at the left edge on both issues.
From my own sources elsewhere (try http://www.independentpoliticalreport.com/... ) Across the country, Libertarians say they are receiving phone calls from people claiming to be Rand Paul volunteers, claiming that the LNC has endorsed Rand Paul (flat out lie), that it has urged Libertarian Party people to vote for Rand Paul (flat out lie), and that it has urged Libertarians to donate to Rand Paul (flat out lie). The donation addresses appear to be legitimate, so this is not some clever scam. The situation does show Republican honesty.
