Kim Davis is an example of someone who clearly doesn't have a clue about democracy or getting along in a diverse society. In the South there is a phrase that I love, "Bless your heart." It is said with a slight whiff of condescension and a hint of superiority. It can be translated as, "Poor dear has his/her head up his ass."
So Kim, bless your heart, you might want to rethink your world view.
Question. Can a person who believes that a small number of folks are Saved, of whom she is one, and that the vast majority of humanity is doomed to burn in the sulfurous fires of Hell, have empathy and true love for we lowly sinners? After all the Saved are off the hook. Yes they will say things that suggest they care or that they have Christian Love overflowing. If that is the case, how come it sounds like, "Bless your heart."
I understand conscience and being a conscientious protester. I've been one since I was a kid. The difference was/is that I object to the things that threaten ALL Of US. Those things that keep us weak and divided so some power elite can manipulate us. I protest FOR inclusion not exclusion.
If you don't have skin in the game how can you be truly engaged. Being Saved is the same as a Get Out of Jail card, except in Monopoly the card is really worth something. When the end comes the Saved are going to be just like the rest of us: rotting meat. And I say that with overflowing love.
