Lindsey Graham can't seem to catch a break this election cycle. First he couldn't get media attention even if he set himself on fire, then there was the disrespect from Fox which not only put him in the kid-table debate, but showed he was standing on a box to make himself look taller. Then he had to stand next to George Pataki, the tallest candidate, in CNN's debate photo.
At least Fox News didn't play the radio edit of Salt N' Pepa's "Short Dick Man" when he came out on stage. (If you can remember the radio edit, the chorus goes "I don't want a short, short man.")
On CNN, if you actually watched the 5 hour corporate talking point driven debate, you might have seen Lindsey Graham talk about Ahmed Mohamed and compared him with Kim Davis. Before I could finish reading Lindsey Graham's quote, my daughter interrupted and this is the result.
Lindsey Graham should be afraid of the followers of Kim Davis. Like George Wallace before her, Kim Davis' followers are hateful vile people who would lynch Graham because everyone is certain Graham is gay.
Even if he isn't gay, just the suspicion from people like those who support Kim Davis could end his life.
My daughter is right, he should be afraid. Being killed by a right-wing, white-American terrorist is more likely than being killed by a Muslim terrorist.
I want to see people like Lindsey Graham out of office, but not at the expense of his life. I want Lindsey Graham to come out of the closet, just think how having an openly gay man, one who has the respect and the stature (figuratively, obviously) that he has, would do more for gay rights in this country than the entire political career of Fred Karger.
