Donald Trump will not make it out of the primaries. Recently, I wrote that he looks like a narcissist to me. One thing narcissists hate is to lose and Trump is already preparing that scenario. He’s already lining up his excuse list. Meghan Kelly’s interviewing skills, Jorge Ramos’s ties to Univision, Jeb Bush who is weak on immigration, and many others who receive the favorite Trump moniker of being a clown. He believes the media and other candidates have treated him unfairly.
He won’t get out of the primaries because as a narcissist he can’t stand losing. He basically said that to Matt Lauer. Trump said, “If I think for some reason it’s not going to work, then I go back to my businesses. There’s no question about that, but right now I think it’s working very, very well” There he answered the question, if it looks like he’s not winning, he’ll leave the race.
Already Trumps act is starting to wear thin. As his poll numbers are slipping (he’s down 7 points in two weeks) he has went back on a few promises. He railed against FOXNews and said he would never appear on one of their shows again. But as his poll numbers went down and free media dried up less that a week after making this promise, Trump returned to FOX.
Joe Nocera a columnist for the New York Times wrote about this topic when he penned,”
I wonder, in fact, whether even now Trump is a serious candidate, or whether this is all a giant publicity ploy. Once a real developer, Trump is largely a licenser today; the more famous he becomes, the more he can charge to slap his name on buildings or perfume or men’s suits.
I’m not alone in wondering this, of course. Several Republican consultants I spoke to openly questioned whether Trump is in it for the long haul. “You would see him spending a lot more money if he were putting together a true national infrastructure,” said Rick Wilson, a Republican strategist.
There’s one other thing. All his life, Trump has had a deep need to be perceived as a “winner.” He always has to be perceived coming out on top. That’s why, ultimately, I don’t think he’ll ever put himself at the mercy of actual voters in a primary. To do so is to risk losing. And everyone will know it.
He’ll be out before Iowa. You read it here first.
Trumps propensity to sue others is legendary. It’s more evidence that he is never wrong and always has to win. He has sued Merv Griffin, a USA contestant, Univision, and his ex-wife Ivana. He once sued Bill Mahr for suggesting his hair is the only color in nature that is the same as a Orangutan.
Including his tendency to lie, sue, and his narcissistic personality make him unfit for the presidency. Add to that the fact that he is a misogynist, a name caller, and grandiose and you have possibly the worst presidential candidate of all time. It’s time to send this clown back to the Trump Tower.
