I am a gay married man.
All my life I have faced bullies like Kim Davis. Have any of you actually viewed the video to see how she treated the gay wedding license applicants? (https://www.youtube.com/...). Had they treated me that way when I applied I would have crawled over the counter and wrapped her ugly hair around her ugly neck and tried to strangle her.
Mad? You bet. She walked into this knowing exactly what she was doing, and she will reap all the $$ after from the crazies who will pay her to hear about her "ordeal". This woman, and bullies like her (Ted Cruz) do not merit our respect or politeness. They only know hate and I will give it right back.
We liberals sometimes need to grow a pair. Is it ugly? Yes. Is it fair? No. Is it the best way to handle the situation? Not always.
But in this case, if any of you think for one minute this poor, hick woman is a victim then realize the Liberty Counsel has chosen her as a test case, she is the same as 3 others in Kentucky and 10 in Alabama, doing the same thing and waiting to see what happens. This is a strategy. Build up the martyrdom, reap the fundraising rewards. Do you think she will stay in jail for months, past her expiration date due to her beliefs or find a way to get out just before her 15 minutes are up to still make money before she is forgotten?
Berating her and making it so no one else would want to ever put up with what she got is a good strategy to minimize her commercial value and stop this.
Does anyone here enjoy what these people say about our President? About african-american shooting victims who "deserve it"...about how guns killing children are just fine because I need my guns? (A friend's 8 year old neice was shot in Connecticut). No, they will shout long and loud to get what they want while we cringe in our PC corner and let them have the soapbox.
Not this time . Not for me.
P.S. She picked a figt with gay people. We happen to know a thing or two about fashion. Did she think we would criticize her skills at playing sports?
Dish it out. Then learn to take it. Or don't dish it out.
Sorry, I am mad. She's berating me. I won't stand it.
